Simple Animation

This exercise is to introduce you to two core elements of animation – layers and the timeline. You will create a short, simple animated giff using layers and the animation timeline in Photoshop. Upload to photobucket and then post this giff to your blog to animate. You can play back the animation in photoshop or check the exported file by dragging it into your internet browser.

Below are some examples. To view these files' separate layers, drag and drop them onto your desktop and open them in Preview. You will be able to view each individual frame and get a sense of how they were constructed.
